Henry Knowles Beecher, 1904-1976, M.D., 1932, Harvard Medical School, was Henry Isaiah Dorr Professor of Research in Anaesthesia at Harvard Medical School from 1941 to 1970 and anaesthetist-in-chief at Massachusetts General Hospital.
